Foreign Ministry: full of confidence in the prospect of China Pakistan Economic Corridor Construction
Geng Shuang, a foreign ministry spokesman, presided over a regular press conference on April 1, according to the website of the Ministry of foreign affairs.
The press conference's answers are as follows:
Q: last weekend, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Gwadar International Airport, which will be built by a Chinese company. Some people think that this project is very important to improve the level of regional connectivity and achieve common prosperity. What's your comment on this?
A: one belt, one road, is a series of pragmatic cooperation between China and Pakistan. The Gwadar airport you mentioned is one of the many pragmatic cooperation. We appreciate Prime Minister Imran Khan's attendance at the relevant ceremony and are full of confidence in the prospect of the construction of China Pakistan Economic Corridor. We believe that this will not only benefit the two countries and the two peoples, but also bring tangible benefits to strengthen regional connectivity and promote regional economic growth.
Q: one belt, one road, will you introduce the situation of President Barrera of Panama to China and attend the second summit of the international cooperation area?
A: I answered one last week's questions one after another about the one of the second "one belt, one road" International Cooperation summit. The second "one belt, one road" International Cooperation Summit Forum will be held in Beijing in late April. This will be another international event after the first forum. We believe one belt, one road, will be another milepost for all parties to promote the "one belt and one way" process. As for the leaders of countries you care about, China will release information in due time.
